Carlos Fonseca

 

Carlos Fonseca served on the Nido Nominating and Policy Committee prior to becoming a member of the Board of Directors in 2021. He is currently the Board Secretary and the Chair of the Governance and Executive Committee. He has one daughter at Nido and another who is an alum. He has lived in Chile since 2018.

Carlos is the General Manager for Latin America Mining Technology Services at Komatsu. He has also been the Regional Managing Director for Latin America at Astec Industries Inc. Prior to Astec, he was country manager for Peru and Colombia at Komatsu Mining, held various legal roles for a US-based mining equipment manufacturer, a US-based medical device and pharmaceutical company, and worked for US-based law firms Gordon & Reese LLP and White & Case LLP.

Carlos holds a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University, a Juris Doctor from Columbia University, and an MBA from Tulane University and the Universidad de Chile.
