Nido Parent Association
The Nido Parent Association (NPA) at Nido de Aguilas is an organization open to all Nido parents, that works to promote the involvement of the school community through social and educational events, with the aim of enhancing open and transparent communication among the parent and teacher community, school administration, and the governing Board of Directors.
The NPA aims to collaborate with our children's education and promote community spirit among all the Nido community.
Its main objectives are:
- Improve communication among parents and faculty
- Promote and collaborate with school programs and events
- Provide financial support to the Nido community through fundraising (event organization)
- Promote participation and community spirit through NPA events
- Facilitate the transition and integration of new families to the Nido community
The NPA welcomes the involvement of all parents and staff and encourages the sharing of your ideas and previous school experiences.

Volunteering:
The NPA invites every Nido family to collaborate. Together, we strive to make Nido the very best school possible for our children. The NPA welcomes everyone and benefits all of our children.
You can volunteer daily, weekly, monthly, or just once a year. If you do not have time to volunteer, you can still support the NPA by attending fun school and NPA-sponsored events. All of these efforts benefit our children's educational experience.

Join us for quilting, fun, and friendship. Meetings are held every Friday morning at a member's home. All levels of quilting experience are welcome; if you don't have any ability but would like to learn, we will be happy to get you started. Basic sewing skills are recommended.

Nido Tour
Join Maritza Mulder-González, Kim Cole, and Renee Currie to explore Santiago and see the sites, on and off the beaten track!
The group meets in front of the school at 9:20 am, leaves around 9:30 am, and will return to school by 2:00 pm. We will carpool to our destination, unless otherwise indicated.
To become a member of this group please contact: nidotourgroup@gmail.com.
Nido Hikers
Join other Nido parents on weekly morning hikes in the beautiful foothills of the Andes Mountains!
A decision regarding the hiking destination will be made by the group that assembles, but the route is generally geared toward an intermediate (or above) level hike and is typically in the hills around Lo Barnechea.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Bring water! Don your hiking boots or trail sneakers, and we look forward to seeing you all!
Please contact Megan Bachmann directly to get your name on her mailing list, and she will inform you of the details of each upcoming hike: taafmeg@gmail.com
