It's JERSEY NIGHT this Friday at our Nido Basketball Invitational! We are giving away some swaggy shirts and old-school uniform tops to our die-hard fans who come out to support our hoop teams. During halftime of both the boys and girls games, Eagle Council will be throwing out branded Eagles jerseys, t-shirts and more! Come support out basketball teams in their final tournament of the year, at home, this Friday and Saturday! The Booster Club will be there fulfilling all your sweet and savory desires. 

The Booster Club will be selling its sweet and savory treats, hot coffee and good vibes all weekend long. The Easy Food kiosk will also be open so you can stay late Friday and get back up early to watch all of the action Saturday morning. 

Our tenacious track & field team will host over 200 visiting athletes from 8 visiting schools this Saturday, in our biggest track meet ever! Nido has entered 50 student-athletes in this major home event. Come support our electric MS/HS athletes and cheer on our team, from 9am-2:30pm at Nido! 

On the football pitch, our ES competitive football teams suit up against Boston College and Lo Barnechea for another spirited triangular at 9am. Our fierce MS girls team also welcomes Boston College, El Bosque, and Lo Barnechea for the first of three Copa Nido events, with games starting at 10:30. Don't miss our incredible Eagles on the Lower Field, this Saturday at Nido!

Our indomitable Eagles travel to Curico this weekend to compete in a varsity  rugby and hockey tournament hosted by the Orchard School. This is the culminating event for our varsity rugby team team, while our hockey stars will continue into June with the Metropolitan 5's League. Good luck and safe travels to our teams!

Congratulations Class of 2025 on PAES Results!

We are very proud to share the outstanding results achieved by our students in the PAES 2025. We would like to extend special congratulations to our four students who earned the maximum score in the Mathematics 1 exam. In addition, four students achieved scores above 900 in Mathematics, and another four students earned scores above 900 in Reading Comprehension.

STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP FAIR

Students in the SUPA Entrepreneurship class participated in a field trip to Emprende tu Mente (EtM) at Parque Bicentenario. Sixteen students explored the wide range of events organized by EtM while also conducting field research to support their own ventures for the Diamond Challenge.

SEASON 1 SPORTS CELEBRATIONS SPOTLIGHT STUDENT SUCCESS

Season 1 at Nido closed with two vibrant celebrations honoring the achievements and growth of the Mighty Eagles, beginning with a packed high school gathering of more than 400 students and parents where varsity captains reflected on lessons of perseverance, commitment, trust, and the process-driven mindset that defined one of the most successful seasons in school history. The festivities continued with the Middle School Sports Celebration, where nearly 200 athletes enjoyed games, shared gratitude, and recognized peers in a student-led awards ceremony featuring heartfelt speeches and tributes. 

NIDO STUDENTS DIVE INTO BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH AT UANDES

Nido high school students with a strong interest in the biological sciences participated in hands-on lab sessions led by mentors at the Center for Biomedical Research and Innovation (CiiB). Students applied for this biomedical mentorship opportunity by submitting a written summary describing their interest in science and research. From these applicants, 28 students (grades 9–12) were selected for the inaugural NidoShip program in biomedical research at Universidad de los Andes.

NIDO PAWS STUDENTS FEATURED AS KEYNOTE PRESENTERS AT CONFERENCE 

The Nido PAWS program was recently invited to present at the Social Community Life Meeting (Encuentro de Convivencia Escolar) hosted by Colegio Monte Tabor y Nazaret, in Lo Barnechea. The invitation came after Nido students Esther and Emilia impressed visiting professionals earlier this year with their presentation on the PAWS for Pawsitivity program, who requested the PAWS team as the keynote presenters for this full-day event. Through this program, Nido students interact with certified dogs in different settings to relax, help with anxiety and depression, and ease loneliness.

NIDO STUDENTS SHINE AT PRESTIGIOUS HACK-A-THON

Nido is proud to celebrate our Grade 10 hackathon team—Sebastián, Noah, Joao, and Mateo—who were selected from more than 2,000 applicants to compete in the prestigious 36-hour Platan.us Hack 25. Supported by their Nido teachers, industry mentors and driven by curiosity, collaboration, and purpose, the team created an impressive live demo and gained invaluable real-world experience. 

 

INQUIRY SPECIALIST LEADS THREE-DAY WORKSHOP FOR NIDO FACULTY

Nido welcomed inquiry expert Jessica Vance for a three-day visit focused on strengthening inquiry- and play-based learning in Lower Elementary. Through hands-on classroom work and a schoolwide session on Learning Walls, she supported teachers in connecting curiosity-driven learning with rigorous standards and making learning more visible for students.
