All of our SAAC teams gave their absolute best this past weekend, leaving it all on the floor, track, and court across the continent. Our incredible student-athletes represented the very best of Nido, showing remarkable character, resilience, and team spirit throughout their performances.

Most incredibly, Nido Eagles were awarded the prestigious Spirit of SAAC at all three events—a rare feat considering that only two or three are awarded per tournament. This honor recognizes individuals who exemplify selflessness, sportsmanship, courage, and those who go above and beyond to positively impact their peers and the event.

Huge congratulations to Rafa (Track & Field), Felipe (Tennis), and Coach Krumtinger (Basketball)—you make us so proud, and your leadership reflects the very best of our Nido community! GO EAGLES!

Basketball in Uruguay

In Uruguay, our varsity boys’ basketball team powered through the round robin with a 3-1 record, dominated ISC in the semifinal, and brought relentless pressure to ASQ in a commanding championship performance. The Nido Eagles repeated as SAAC champions, bringing the plaque back to Chile and proving once again that hard work, perseverance, and a purpose-driven process deliver results.

Our varsity girls also made the semifinals and went toe-to-toe with an experienced ASQ team. They showed true grit and spirit, pushing Graded to overtime in the bronze medal match. They finished 4th overall, but undoubtedly won hearts with their effort, teamwork, and positive energy. Congratulations to all players and coaches on a spectacular tournament!

Track & Field in Argentina

Nido’s track & field program shone brightly in Argentina, once again proving to be the powerhouse of the pack. Our growing numbers and strong performances are a result of dedicated coaching, inspiring student leadership, and a culture where everyone contributes and everyone is recognized. These accomplishments are a testament to the focused determination and effort of our students and coaches.

Over the three-day meet, our Eagles delivered impressive results:

  • 54 medals
  • 10 school records
  • 13 personal bests
  •  88 first-time meet marks

Tennis in Brazil

Our tennis players brought heart, hustle, and harmony to Brazil—showcasing both skill and sportsmanship. With all schools fielding their top teams, our varsity boys played with elite technique and strategy, reaching the bronze medal match and defeating Lincoln to secure their spot on the podium!

The varsity girls wrapped up their tournament with a dramatic final doubles match against Graded. Down 7–9 in a third-set tiebreaker, they clawed back to win the next three points and take the set 10–9. What a comeback! They finished proudly in 5th place, with heads held high and smiles wide.
