The International School Nido de Aguilas

Congratulations to our Eagles' sports teams, coaches, and student-athletes for their incredible championship performances over the past week and a half! In the final SAAC events of the season, our Eagle Rays hosted the Swimming Championships at Nido, bringing home the combined team gold. The varsity girls' team won their third straight championship, with the varsity boys finishing a close second! Our fans were ecstatic, and the event was first-class as all our younger and older Eagles connected and cheered on the teams. Jade, Isaac, Agustina, and Tomás were named to the All-Tournament swimming team. Thank you to our outstanding Athletics team for all their hard work and for going above and beyond to deliver this to our community.

Our volleyball and cross-country Eagles took flight for Brazil and the SAAC Championships hosted by Graded. The varsity girls' volleyball team unleashed a dominant performance, going undefeated over three days and winning Nido's first-ever SAAC girls' volleyball championship. The volleyball boys upset Lincoln with an extraordinary performance in the bronze medal match, displaying championship grit and team unity to finish with an exhilarating win. Mora, Adina, Santiago, and Edwin made it to the SAAC All-Tournament Team. The SAAC championship earned the varsity girls team a historic double gold, as they closed out the Copa Nido season by winning the trophy and title against BRS.

The cross country boys team ran past their competition for a second-straight SAAC championship. Max crushed the course record and won the 5 km and 3 km events, with teammates just steps behind. The girls' team put together a slew of personal bests, securing a solid third-place bronze medal finish in the competition. John and Anais were included in the All-Tournament Team.

The varsity boys football team saved their best for last, winning the coveted Copa Nido Championship last Friday with a 1-0 victory over Hebreo. The varsity girls concluded their successful season with a 1-1 draw against Club El Bosque, and they will be a force to reckon with in the coming years. It was a sweet reward for both teams' effort and their positive attitude all season, and we are proud of them!

The MS Infantil girls basketball team earned a hard-fought gold medal and Copa Nido championship against La Salle. The MS Mini Boys basketball delivered an unforgettable season, finishing with a silver medal in the Copa championship. The JV girls' red volleyball team and JV girls' football team also earned their way into the championship games, both winning a well-deserved silver medal in our tough local league. The MS boys and girls tennis teams won their final tournament of the year, while field hockey and rugby wrapped up with strong performances in their season-ending festival. Finally, our varsity dance team and Nido cheerleaders inspired us with their performances at the SAAC opening ceremony and the Nido dance recital.

Our Nido teams finished their season by performing to the top of their potential, which is always our number one team goal. At Nido, we aim to improve every day, focusing on the growth process and building a positive team culture. When these things happen, the right results follow. No matter the final standings, we know we've done our best. We are extremely proud of all of our Nido teams, coaches, and remarkable student-athletes! Thank you to everyone who helped make this season an exceptional success, including all the fans who showed up to cheer us on. GO EAGLES!
