PK CAPTURES MEMORIES AND LOOKS AHEAD TO K1

The final days of the school year have been filled with reflection, discovery, and excitement for our PK students as they celebrated their learning journey and prepared for the transition to K1.

As a special farewell to The Creek, students in PKA participated in a unique photography project using real film cameras. The children photographed the places, objects, and details that captured their attention, documenting their favorite aspects of this beloved outdoor learning space. Through the experience, they discovered how photographs were taken before the digital era and gained a deeper appreciation for older photographic techniques. Their images were displayed on a class poster, and the film negatives were added to the light table, allowing students to continue exploring and investigating this fascinating process. The photographs offer a wonderful glimpse of The Creek through the children's eyes.

At the same time, students began preparing for their next adventure in K1. Through conversations, self-portraits, and reflections, the children considered how much they have grown over the past year, now that they are four years old. They proudly shared new skills, accomplishments, and experiences that make them feel ready for the next step in their learning journey. These thoughtful reflections highlighted not only their growth and confidence but also their excitement about their new classroom.

As one of their final High School experiences at Nido, our seniors recently embarked on their last Week Without Walls adventure after completing their classes and exams. Students chose from six unique programs — three international trips to Panama, Mexico, and Costa Rica, and three local experiences focused on service, culture, and culinary arts in Chile.
