The International School Nido de Aguilas

April is a special month for book lovers, as it’s when we celebrate School Library Month and International World Book and Copyright Day on Saturday, April 23.

Nido’s Media Center will be offering different activities starting next week to help our community commemorate the essential role that school libraries and books play in transforming learning.

“It’s a very special moment because the whole community is invited to celebrate and share the passion for knowledge, literature, and the joy of reading!” says Chloé Vicente, Nido’s Media Center Director. “It is also an opportunity to be thankful for all the knowledge that our Media Center preserves. From read-alouds to literacy and research classes, our Media Center offers a wealth of services. This celebration clearly expresses the vital role our School library plays in transforming learning!”

Among the activities the Media Center will host are a book fair from April 28th through May 4th; two Meet the Author events with Kazu Kibuishi, author of Amulet, and Carolina Zagal, a Nido alum and author of Sin Zoom. Animales Marinos.
