The Model United Nations team at Nido is hosting its first international conference on November 3-5, with 150 participants coming from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru! Model United Nations is an enriching extracurricular activity in which high school and middle school students represent various countries and collaborate to propose solutions to global issues.
For example, in our upcoming conference, 18 students will be taking on the role of different countries and working together in the United Nations Human Rights Council to evaluate the question of human rights violations in Qatar.
We invite members of the Nido community to explore our NidoMUN website (designed by a Nido High School student) to learn more. Also, we ask any available parents, teachers, or staff to consider filling out this community support form to share any way you might be able to help with the conference.
