This week, all of our divisions have celebrated Chile's Independence Day by teaching our students Chilean literature and history, dances, games, songs, and much more. Today we will end the celebrations with nine student-led fondas in different campus locations, following all of the safety protocols.
Each senior Advisory class has been put in charge of running a fonda. Then a team of High School Advisories from grades 9-11 has been assigned to support the senior leaders in designing the celebratory space and creating the activities. The students will organize the traditions and games for their fonda, and each fonda will be assigned a grade level from K2 through 8.
This is a great opportunity for our students to bond across school divisions, and it gives our High School students the chance to lead and serve as role models for our younger students. We wish everyone a happy and safe Dieciocho break. Viva Chile!
