The International School Nido de Aguilas

This year Nido's High School introduced a new initiative—Link Crew—in order to better support the transition of students between Middle School and High School by connecting incoming freshmen with each other and a caring upperclassman from their very first day.

Link Crew breaks up the freshman class into 13 "crews" for the 2019-2020 school year. Each Crew has 2-3 Link Leaders from Grades 11 and 12 who will help them in three major areas: safety, information, and connection. On the first day of school for Grade 9, students were welcomed by the Link Leaders, High School administration, and faculty members with lots of cheering, high-fives, and team-building activities to help them feel comfortable in their new division on day one as well as create powerful connections within each Crew.

Throughout the rest of the year, there will be various social and academic follow-ups within the Link Crew program that focus on the main areas of support.
