Welcome Back from EYS Principal Cota

Welcome Back to Second Semester EYS Parent!

Yeah! The children will be or are back in school, depending upon when you are reading this email. I hope that you all had a wonderful summer of spending time with family, relaxing and reconnecting with one another in a rejuvenating environment. I know that with young children relaxing is a hard word to describe ones day when surrounded by the energy they have!

We are so excited to have your child back to school, as I am certain most of you are as well! The second semester has been one of my favorite times of the academic year, as the students have grown physically, mentally and emotionally over the summer break. They arrive back to school different children and eager to learn so many new things!

I hope the transition back is smooth for everyone. Remember it will take time for your child to adjust from summer routines back to school routines. Sometimes, even with the growth mentioned above, it can be more difficult than the start of the academic year, as your child has spent so much time with family. We, in the EYS, are fully prepared and ready to help with any needs during this transitional period; do not hesitate to seek assistance if needed. On the flip side, some students will be so eager to be back to school you may find yourself being the one missing your child...we can help you with that too!

Welcome back to the second semester of the 2017-2018 school year. We in the EYS, look forward to the remainder of the academic year with your child(ren) with enthusiasm. As always, my door is open for any questions, comments or concerns.
