Media Center Resources
Destiny Discover, the Media Center catalog and circulation system, is available online for locating library materials 24/7. We have approximately 38,000 printed books in circulation. In order to facilitate inquiry-based research, the library also subscribes to multiple research databases, electronic book collections, electronic professional journals, online magazines, and online encyclopedias in both English and Spanish. A special digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources provides resources for use from anywhere.
Contact Chloé Vicente, Media Center Director, at cvicente@nido.cl in order to get a username and password to open an alumni account and use these resources.
Media Center Learning Commons
The Media Center has spaces on the first and second floors where you may work as an individual or in small groups. Computers and Wifi are available or you may bring your own device.
The Media Center also has three Meeting Rooms that hold a maximum of twelve people and may be reserved with Chloé Vicente at cvicente@nido.cl.
Nido de Aguilas Aquatics Center
Nido's state-of-the-art Aquatics Center was inaugurated in 2011. Its modern and heated facilities include two pools, a 6-lane competition pool (25-meters long), and a smaller, shallow 10-meter long pool that is designed for younger students. It also includes separate dressing rooms, seating for spectators, a first aid station, and a lifeguard station. The Aquatics Center hosts P.E. classes, the Learn to Swim program, swim teams and clubs, as well as a recreational swimming program open to Alumni. The facility incorporates 144 solar panels on the roof to heat the water of the pool and showers.In order to use the aquatics center facilities, please contact Felipe Salinas, fsalinas@nido.cl.
