Dear FIRSTNAME,
We are thrilled to share with you our second newsletter which highlights several events held during the past two months as well as upcoming activities and initiatives.
Thank you for your constant involvement and enthusiasm.
Reunions in Chile and the USA
Santiago
Special thanks to Andrea Abdala and the Class of 2008, who on April 20 organized our first Happy Hour in Santiago. Alumni from various graduation years gathered to network, reconnect and swap fun stories of their years at Nido.
Boston
Many thanks to Chris Tadeu '07, who organized a Happy Hour gathering in Boston on April 27. It was a fun and relaxed evening where alumni caught up with old friends and made new connections.
Los Angeles
Cheers to Dannie Festa '94 who organized a glamorous happy hour at Hotel Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on May 8. Nido's Headmaster, Dr. Ralph Maurer, had a blast chatting and meeting alumni of various generations.
Involvement of Alumni with the Nido Students
Arts at Nido
Barbara Cahmi '94 conducted a class for IB Art students which was followed by a three week interval culminating in a "round table" where students presented their art work inspired by Barbara's artistic process, knowledge and experience.
Young Alumni Panels
Alexander Sutulov '80, participated in our Premium Auction Section of the Nido de Aguilas' Art Showdown. Proceeds from the event went towards enhancing the Arts program at Nido.
From left to right: Felipe Flores, Carlos Ruiz de Gamboa, Nicolas Jaques, Eitan Senerman, Sebastian Albagli, Natalia Halpern, Simon Israel, Nicolas Halpern, Vicky Landaeta, Alex Eger.
Young alumni from the years 2013 to 2016 shared advice with the Nido Class of 2017 about their college experience. Topics included navigating dorm or apartment life, making new friends, connecting to teachers, succeeding in classes, extracurricular activities, managing their social life and generally solving problems as independent young adults. Thank you young alumni, we are so proud of you!
2017 Senior Induction to the NAA and Graduation
On behalf of the NAA, our President Maya Westcott, awarded a commemorative plaque to the school inscribed with the names of all the seniors.
With pride and honor, we welcome one hundred and twelve new members to the Nido alumni community. An amazingly talented group of seniors are heading out into the world and we look forward to staying connected.
