Multisport is a special educational program prepared for Nido students. It is a trip combining three different activities in one of Chile’s most traditional locations. But this trip is more than that, it is also a personal challenge, since every member of this adventure will have to face his/her own personal goals.

The trip entails gently pushing the comfort zone of our physical and mental abilities, organization skills, even our ability to work as a group.

With very clear educational goals, our group of students will travel through Colchagua Valley learning about traditions, history, flora, fauna today’s life.

Students will use bikes, kayaks and horses to see and discover interesting and beautiful corners of Colchagua from Santa Cruz all the way to the coast.

As leaders of this trip, we will put a especial emphasis on “LEAVE NO TRACE” concept, TEAM WORK and LEADERSHIP.

Running the Travesia for more than 14 years for Week Without Walls has led us to build awesome outdoor experiences in the foothills of the volcano complex Nevados de Chillán. Located 900 meters above sea level, in the Andes Mountains, Lonquimay is a land of natural beauties, were centuries-old Araucarias predominate the landscape and snow capped mountains sit in the background. A river can be an influential classroom and a place to further learning and growth. Such is a self support hike into the Andes,

Throughout the week students will work up to the opportunity to guide their own raft... and to be a successful they will be required to work as a team, to trust each other, and to communicate, same skills will be put together to hike from Reloncavi fjord to Lake Todos los Santos in what used to be the Jesuit route to get to Argentina.

They will have to be confident in their abilities, think quickly, and put their new skills to use!

A river is also a place to have fun! Big waves, cliff jumps, and 14 kilometers of friendly rapids in the Petrohue River provide plenty of excitement.

In the river they will form relationships and connections with each other and with nature which is one of the main aim of the week without walls.

Your activities will include wall painting, furniture fixing and diaper changing. For these children you will make a big difference in the world, and who knows, they might just pay you back likewise. A small group will play and conduct activities for nursing babies and toddlers that will appreciate your love and care. Plus, you'll spend the afternoons at Nido working with the Hogar Mision de Maria group making hand-sewn gifts for the children and learning a new skill: working with a sewing machine.

Friday will culminate with an outing of taking the children to the Buin Zoo for the day.

Hogar Misión de María

Hogar Mision de Maria is an orphanage for babies and children 0 - 3 years of age. The children are given shelter and love while they wait to return to their biological families or get adopted. This WWW trip will be a week of service and will include: helping to care for and give the children individual attention and help paint and clean at the hogar. One highlight of the trip will be to take the oldest babies and children to the Granja Educativa near Talagante or other fun excursions. Students will also have an opportunity to learn some sewing and related skills as the take part in a shared activity 'Creating for Charities' with the group of Nido students working with Casa Grada.

Visión For Chile

Duration and Dates: 5 days / Nov. 5, 2018 - Nov. 9, 2018

Location: La Pintana

Cost: $100.000 + daily transportation (aprox. $15.000-$25.000), according to number of participants

Casa Esperanza is located in the commune of La Pintana, a commune that lives many social conflicts, segregation, poverty, drug addiction, teenage pregnancy and many residences of children (the majority collaborating of SENAME). Our program is focused on supporting schools with differential needs and work in construction. We will be working in the community center where we serve 50 students of SENAME CHILDREN'S homes and children of the sector every week, in addition to rebuilding the kitchen of our dining room for children on Saturdays and the residence for young people who do not have a home after their residence in girls' homes.

A magical journey to the “belly button of the world", a very old island of volcanic origin.

We will get to know the most interesting places of Rapa Nui, such as the idyllic Anakena beach, the Moais, the quarry where the Moais were cut from and the famous volcanoes. A unique feature of the rainforest surrounding Iquitos is its lack of a specific rainy or dry season. The creation of a short film starts with scriptwriting, which will be developed with a team. The story from beginning to end will have a duration between 6 to 10 minutes.

However, is it possible to put into action charismatic characters whose conflicts must be resolved in such a short period of time? The answer is YES, by being very creative and working as a team. That's what students will learn in scriptwriting and acting lessons.

How to communicate your ideas visually? Learning to use of film language frame by frame, in cinematography classes and production.

The content areas are: acting, scriptwriting for screenplay, filmmaking or cinematography, music appreciation and soundtrack design, production and installation.

During the five days of University Application Writing Workshop, students will work one-on-one with Ian Lally and/or Heather Marks and in small groups to brainstorm, outline and write awesome drafts for all of your personal statements/Common Application essays, UC personal insight questions and USA and World University supplemental essays.
