The Aguilitas Program allows our PK and K1 students an opportunity to partake in a globally trending approach in the early years that also aligns with our founder, Dr. Stevenson's, vision—outdoor learning. Research shows children's abilities to self-regulate, solve problems, and develop their social, emotional, and motor skills benefit by playing and learning outdoors. Aguilitas allows your child time to nurture their well being by embracing nature through exploration and play on Nido's campus and hills beyond its campus.

Dates & Hours: Monday through Friday, 12:30 - 4:00. On half days, or when school ASAs are cancelled, Aguilitas will also be canceled.

Transportation: Transportation is not available to PK & K1 students in the Aguilitas program. Parents must pick up their children.

Participation: Families commit to one semester enrollment. In the case a child is withdrawn from the program before the end of the semester, the parent(s)/guardian(s) remain responsible for paying the monthly fees for the entire semester.

Capacity: This program has a capacity of 35 students.

Compromiso de Inscripción: Las familias deben comprometerse a un semestre. En el caso de que un estudiante sea retirado del programa antes del final del semestre, los padres/tutores seguirán siendo responsables de pagar las cuotas mensuales durante todo el semestre.

If the School is on Distance Learning due to quarantine, will there be an online Aguilitas Program? / Si el colegio se encuentra en educación a distancia debido a la cuarentena, ¿habrá un Programa de Aguilitas en línea?

If the School is on Distance Learning due to quarantine and the Aguilitas Program is temporarily suspended, will I be required to continue paying for this service?

Parents will only be required to pay for the Aguilitas Program for the days the School’s campus was open to students and the fee will be pro-rated.

If my child is in quarantine and cannot attend the Aguilitas Program, will the fee be pro-rated? / Si mi hijo/a está en cuarentena y no puede asistir al Programa Aguilitas, ¿se prorrateará la cuota?

How will contact tracing be conducted with students in the Aguilitas Program? / ¿Cómo se realizará el rastreo de contactos con los alumnos del Programa Aguilitas?

If there is one (1) positive case reported in a student that attends Aguilitas, the School must send the whole Aguilitas group, including the teacher(s), to a 7-day quarantine starting the day of the last contact with the confirmed student/teacher.

Si se reporta un (1) caso positivo de Covid en un alumno/a dentro del Programa Aguilitas, el colegio debe enviar a todo el grupo, incluyendo al profesor/a, a una cuarentena de 7 días a partir del día del último contacto con el caso confirmado.
