A Nido Day

Morning Arrival

The official start of the school day is 7:45 am, but parents may begin bringing children to the EYS classrooms at 7:30 am, when the teachers open the doors to welcome students to another day of growth and discovery at Nido. EYS students are required to wear the Nido uniform each day, which may be purchased from the NPA store at School or from the uniform distributer, Scolari.

Pre-Kinder and Kinder 1

Pre-Kinder and Kinder 1 students begin and end the day in their main classrooms with their primary teacher and assistant teacher. They have snack, water break, and outdoor recess times scheduled throughout the morning before dismissal at 12:30 pm. PK and K1 students have music, art, and movement integrated into their daily routines and classes. Students also regularly visit the library. Classroom time includes morning circle, read aloud activities, center time, small play-based group work, and snack time.
