“A school needs to be a place for all children, not based on the idea that they're all the same, but that they're all different.”
- Loris Malaguzzi

Welcome to the Early Years School (EYS) at Nido!
At the EYS, we celebrate each child's uniqueness, capability, and curiosity, recognizing their boundless potential as learners. Our child-centered, play-based program is designed for three- to five-year-olds and offers a safe, nurturing environment where children can confidently begin their learning journey.
Our program supports young learners in developing language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills. We emphasize fostering inquiry and collaboration both inside and outside the classroom. By encouraging independence and confidence, we help children understand themselves as learners and discover how they learn best.
A hallmark of our approach is our deep connection to nature. Inspired by Nido’s founding vision, we believe outdoor learning is essential in early childhood education. Time spent in nature supports physical, emotional, and social development, fosters a sense of wonder, and nurtures exploration, resilience, and creativity. Whether playing outdoors or venturing into the mountains that surround us, nature is an integral part of how we teach and learn.
We highly value parent involvement, recognizing families as children's first teachers. By partnering closely with parents, we strive to provide the highest-quality early childhood education tailored to each child's unique needs. Our dedicated teachers and administrators maintain open communication with families to build a strong, connected EYS community.
We are committed to nurturing each child's strengths and passions and providing them with authentic, hands-on learning experiences throughout the year.
