The International School Nido de Aguilas

A Nido Day

Students begin and end their days in their respective homeroom classes, where they participate in class meetings and engage in active learning with their primary teachers, assistant teachers, and support specialists. At some point in the day, students will have a 95-minute Spanish and Specials Block (45 minutes for each class with 5-minute transition); students attend Spanish classes daily, while the Specials schedule rotates. Students have a 15-minute break every morning for snack and outdoor play and have a midday lunch and recess block of 45 minutes. ES students are required to wear the Nido uniform each day, which may be purchased from Scolari.

Morning Arrival

The official start of our school day is 7:45 am, but students may arrive on campus beginning at 7:15 am, at which point there will be supervision in the library and on the playground. At 7:30 am, classroom doors open for students to begin morning work, and at 7:40 am, the bell rings for all students to come to class for a prompt 7:45 am start of official instruction and another day of discovery at Nido.
