Transportation of students by bus service is contracted through our transportation office. For further details on specific routes, times, cost, or other concerns please feel free to contact the transportation office directly. mmunoz@nido.cl Although the school assists with coordinating bus transportation and assists with transportation problems, the choice to use one of the school buses is an individual agreement between the bus provider and the parent. The bus transportation is a contract service with an outside provider. The buses are privately owned and the drivers are employed by the bus company NOT by Nido. Use of the bus service acknowledges that the parent agrees to pay the fees as stipulated by the bus provider and approved by the school, that students must refrain from eating, drinking and will exhibit courteous, safe, and proper conduct at all times while on the bus, and that they will obey instructions given by the driver. Students with bus contracts may use the late bus without charge; Students riding late-buses must request this service prior to 11:30 am (Elementary) and 1:30 pm. (Middle School and High School) Students without late bus passes will be reported to the school office with disciplinary action for repeat offenders. To visit a friend’s home the following must occur: ECC & Elementary Permission notes from the parents of the children involved must be received by the office. Middle & High School The guest must bring a note from the parent authorizing the visit. Note: This service is not available on half days or early dismissal days. If you are not part of the transportation system and you are a guest, you must pay a ticket according to the following: Sector 1 = $3.000 ( 1 - to 15 blocks) Sector 2 = $3.500 (16 to 30 blocks) Sector 3 = $3.500 (31 to 45 blocks) Sector 4 = $4.000 (46 to 115 blocks) This service is subject to space availability. Only one guest will be permitted per student.
