In addition to the academic and instructional program offered at Nido de Aguilas, the school provides a number of support services that enrich the educational program, serve safety and welfare needs of students, and enhance the general operation of the school. School bus transportation and the school cafeteria are operated by outside companies via a contract service. Although the school monitors both services and establishes standards for the safe and healthy operation of each, these services are offered directly to students and parents though the contract provider, NOT by the school.
Nido has a health care clinic staffed with two fully certified nurses. The nurses are on duty throughout each school day and until elementary after school activities are completed. A third nurse attends after school and weekend sports events to provide medical assistance.
Nido continually strives to provide up to date technology and computer software in support of the educational program and as an essential form of communication both within the school and to the parent community. Internet, e-mail, and other sources of communication and information are available to students and staff throughout the campus. All students and staff are required to sign an ACCEPTABLE TECHNOLOGY USE AGREEMENT, which provides guidelines for the proper use of computer equipment, software and information. |
