The International School Nido de Aguilas

Health Services

Nido de Aguilas provides students with routine first aid and basic medical care under the supervision of a caring on-campus nursing team. Three school nurses work in alternate shifts throughout the regular school day from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. There is an on-duty physical therapist with training in CPR and first aid response during all regularly scheduled school sports activities held after 5:00 pm and on Saturdays. Additionally, we have the services of PULSA, a local company of paramedics who support our health staff during special sports events and campus activities.

In the event of illness or injury to a student, the nurse in the Health Unit will initiate first aid measures. In case of injury requiring more than first aid attention, or for treatment of any conditions requiring a diagnosis, the student will be taken to the clinic chosen previously by parents for further treatment. Parents will be advised of the accident by the nurse and be asked to pick up the student at school or meet the nurse at the clinic depending of the severity of the accident.

Student Accident Insurance

Upon acceptance and throughout their enrollment at Nido de Aguilas, all students are covered by accident insurance. The current provider of this service is Clinica Alemana. Since Clinica Alemana is our only provider, families will be registered automatically. This insurance provides coverage for accidents of a traumatic nature, 24 hours a day, throughout the school year.
