Obertura Chilena: August 31

Save the date for August 31 for one of Nido's best traditions—Obertura Chilena.

This year's Obertura Chilena highlights Chilean Literature in a way never seen before! From "Condorito" to "La Casa de los Espíritus", from "Pepo" to "Papelucho", join us in this artistic representation of literature! We'll start the evening with a life-sized literary exposition, followed by dance, music, and many surprises.

As we do every year, we are honoring a Chilean artist whose contribution to the local culture has been of significance. Mr. Pedro Messone was honored last year, Maestro Vicente Bianchi the year before, and this year we have the honor of Mr. Eduardo Gatti's presence, composer of renowned songs such as "El Navegante" and "Los Momentos", who'll share his most memorable songs on our stage.

The fourth annual Obertura Chilena will take place on August 31 at 6 pm* in the Nido Theater, with a pre-show literary exhibition starting at 5 pm in the Foyer. We hope you can join us in this colorful, fun, and cultural event.

Viva Chile!

*Please note, this event was originally scheduled for 7 pm but has been changed to 6 pm so that all may enjoy both Obertura Chilena and the Chile vs. Paraguay fútbol game in the same evening.
