More than a Library and a Media Center: a Learning Commons

"If an e-reader is a media center, than a desktop computer is a learning commons, a space not only to visualize and observe, but a shift to create." That is the analogy that Linda Swenson, Nido Media Center Director, uses to explain what Nido's Media Center is becoming.

The space, that has over 30,000 titles, has been experiencing impressive changes. They have new LED lights installed for better energy usage, many new books in English and Spanish, movable chairs, new meeting rooms, and a redesign of the entire floor to allow for better concentration and study.

The entire Nido community of parents, staff/faculty, and Alumni are also invited to use the library and the many resources they have, including meeting rooms and renowned databases such as JSTOR and EBSCO. Parents and Faculty/Staff can access login instructions for these databases in their respective Nido website Portals. Alumni may contact

Come and visit this incredible space and take advantage of our learning commons!
