The International School Nido de Aguilas

Aquatics Program

Nido's state-of-the-art Aquatics Center was inaugurated in 2011. Its modern and heated facilities include two pools, a 6-lane competition pool (25-meters long), and a smaller, shallow 10-meter long pool that is designed for younger students. It also includes separate dressing rooms for elementary and middle/high school students, seating for spectators, a first aid station, a life guard station, a teachers’ room, and the Aquatics Director’s office. The Aquatics Center hosts P.E. classes, the Learn to Swim program, swim teams and clubs, as well as a recreational swimming program (for staff members). The facility incorporates 144 solar panels on the roof to heat the water of the pool and showers.
